How this service uses information.

Easy Divorce Virginia is an advertising, information, and factual-intake service. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not create a lawyer-client relationship.

Effective September 18, 2026

Information you choose to provide

The factual check asks about circumstances that may affect how involved a Virginia divorce could be. If you request contact, the service records your name, phone number, the answers you provided, the intake result, and the source information described below.

By submitting a request, you ask Easy Divorce Virginia to share that lead information with a participating Virginia law firm so the firm may contact you. A participating firm may pay Easy Divorce Virginia for advertising or the factual lead. The firm decides whether to accept a matter and sets its own scope and fee.

After you enter a valid phone number in the contact step, the service may save it, along with any name you entered, before you press the final submission button so an interrupted request can still appear in the operator’s protected lead dashboard.

In Monica’s chat on our questionnaire and on the separate chat-evaluation page, you may choose to answer by voice. When you do, the service records the audio and sends it to OpenAI for transcription so Monica can respond. The recording, transcript, chat responses, and recording duration are stored for factual intake, service-quality review, and analysis. They do not currently expire automatically and are retained until the operator deletes them or changes this policy. You can use the typed-answer option instead. The chat also uses a secure functional cookie containing a random identifier so the same browser can return to the retained chat instead of starting over. The cookie does not contain your transcript, contact information, or divorce answers. Starting a fresh chat replaces that browser identifier, and clearing browser cookies removes the browser’s automatic connection to the earlier chat.

We retain chat messages, greetings, submitted voice recordings and contact preferences privately for intake and service-quality review until deleted. Authorized operators can read the conversation in our protected dashboard. Unsent drafts are not conversation submissions. When you ask for lawyer contact, your submitted contact information, preferences and intake facts enter the same lead process as a questionnaire request; the full chat log stays in the operator dashboard. A secure functional browser cookie helps us reuse your submitted details rather than create duplicate requests.

When analytics is enabled, a random browser identifier connects chat use with questionnaire activity and lead submissions, including later visits within 30 days. This does not identify the same person across devices. Existing privacy choices and Global Privacy Control continue to apply to optional measurement. Chat remains available when that measurement is off.

Contact validation and identity signals

After a request is submitted, an authorized operator may use a service provider to validate the phone number and obtain contactability signals such as phone activity, carrier, line type, and prepaid status. If the number clears the operator’s initial review threshold, the provider may compare the submitted name with people or businesses associated with the number and return possible owner names, alternate names, current-address signals, associated contact details, and linkage dates.

These provider-derived records are used to identify mismatches, reduce obviously invalid inquiries, and prepare a factual intake summary for an authorized operator or participating law firm. They can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. They are confidence signals only and do not decide identity, truthfulness, residency, legal eligibility, or whether a law firm accepts a matter.

First-party funnel measurement and IP addresses

When a paid landing page loads, the site first attempts one small first-party request so the operator can compare advertising clicks with visits whose HTML reached a browser. The site may then record limited technical checkpoints—whether the questionnaire app became ready, a visible frame was reached, the page finished loading, a local asset failed, or the page exited before one of those checkpoints. These technical requests are sent to Easy Divorce Virginia rather than Meta or Clarity. It contains a random session identifier, the landing route and angle, approved campaign, ad-set, ad, placement, UTM and click identifiers present in the landing URL, a referral page without its query string, and the server-received IP and approximate network location, a coarse browser/platform category, visibility/navigation state, and technical load timing. It does not contain questionnaire answers, dates, contact information, or typed form values.

The service uses controlled browser-automation signals, crawler labels, and known provider network ranges to separate positively identified automated or scanner requests from visitor reporting. It does not store the raw browser user-agent string for this purpose. Positively identified automation is retained in a separate protected diagnostic record and is excluded from visitor, funnel, click-to-lead, Tests, and marketing-agent totals. Requests without a positive automation signal are not labeled as bots.

If you allow Analytics, Easy Divorce Virginia records a random session identifier, the time a session begins and ends, approximate active time, page-load time, which below-fold educational sections were viewed, the deepest questionnaire stage reached, generic button interactions, scroll milestones, pages and questionnaire stages viewed, coarse answer categories, back/restart/navigation actions, result and contact-form views, and lead-submission attempts and outcomes, each with a timestamp sufficient to reconstruct the session’s funnel activity. The service also records completion status, referral attribution, the IP address supplied to the server by Netlify, and approximate IP-network location information made available by Netlify. For an older session without stored coordinates, an authorized operator may choose to run a cached MaxMind IP-location lookup from the protected dashboard. The current separation-timing stage is stored in analytics only as Yes, No, or I’m not sure. Earlier analytics records may retain one of three timing ranges—under six months, six to twelve months, or twelve months or longer—but not the date that was selected. The activity timeline uses controlled action labels and does not copy typed field contents, a name, phone number, exact separation date, or free text. Contact and full intake information, including a historical separation date when previously provided, is stored separately only when the visitor enters contact information for a lead.

Operators use a password-protected dashboard to review aggregate funnel counts, protected session journey details, and leads. Testing IP addresses can be excluded from visitor and funnel totals while test form submissions remain visible. Session analytics, lead, and lead-enrichment records do not currently expire automatically. They are retained until the operator deletes them or changes this policy, subject to applicable law and a valid deletion request.

Attribution and device information

The service may record first- and last-touch campaign information such as source, medium, campaign, creative, ad and ad-set identifiers, referral source, landing page, UTMs, and a platform advertising click identifier. Quora campaign, ad-set, and ad values are captured from utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content; a qclid may also be retained first-party. These values help the operator understand which outreach produced a lead.

Query strings are removed from the visible page after approved campaign fields are captured. Contact information and divorce answers are not placed in analytics event names, analytics parameters, or page URLs.

Microsoft Clarity

Where optional Analytics is enabled, the service uses Microsoft Clarity to understand general page use through interaction measurements, heatmaps, and session recordings. Clarity may receive browser, device, network, page, and interaction information and may use cookies or similar identifiers under the applicable privacy mode described below.

The Clarity project uses Strict masking, and the factual check, results, and contact area are explicitly masked. Form values and factual divorce answers are not intentionally sent to Clarity. A random pseudonymous visitor and session identifier may be provided; it is not an email, phone number, name, or case identifier. When Analytics is enabled, Clarity may also receive campaign, ad-set, ad, placement, angle, and route tags so an operator can filter recordings without using contact information or questionnaire outcomes.

Advertising measurement (Meta and Quora)

Where optional Advertising measurement is enabled, the site uses a dedicated Easy Divorce Virginia dataset to measure page visits and generic lead-funnel events. Browser and server Lead events share a random event identifier so Meta can deduplicate them.

Easy Divorce Virginia does not use browser Advanced Matching and will not send form values, email addresses, phone numbers, names, or factual divorce answers in Meta event payloads. Advertising cookies and Meta click/browser identifiers may be used only while Advertising measurement is enabled.

Under the same Advertising choice, the site may load the Easy Divorce Virginia Quora Pixel and send only generic ViewContent, visible-result Generic, and server-confirmed GenerateLead events. Quora Advanced Match is not enabled. Quora does not receive contact details, questionnaire answers, budget, issue count, result type, route or angle, session identifiers, UTMs, qclid, or custom event properties from this site.

Service providers and security

Netlify hosts the current site and processes and stores verified form submissions for the operator. Other infrastructure providers may process limited device or network information needed to deliver and protect the site. Access to lead information should be limited to authorized operators and the participating law firm receiving the lead.

The protected operator dashboard may display approximate IP-network coordinates on an interactive OpenStreetMap map. Loading that map sends the approximate coordinates and the operator’s browser request to OpenStreetMap; it does not send the visitor’s name, phone number, questionnaire answers, or stored IP address to the map.

If the separately gated voice preview is enabled and you choose to start it, microphone audio is processed by OpenAI to produce the conversation. The preview instructs visitors not to speak names, contact details, account information, or detailed allegations. Easy Divorce Virginia does not intentionally store the preview audio or a transcript.

No internet service can promise absolute security. Easy Divorce Virginia uses access controls intended to limit lead information to authorized operators and service providers, and will revise its retention practices if operational needs or applicable law require a change.

Your privacy choices

This Virginia-focused site does not show a cookie or consent banner. Optional Analytics and Advertising measurement may begin by default. A saved opt-out or browser Global Privacy Control signal keeps optional measurement off.

Necessary site functions remain available without optional Analytics or Advertising. You can refuse or change these categories at any time. Changing a choice affects future optional collection in this browser and may clear associated identifiers.
